ARDEX Americas & the W.W. HENRY® Company Kick-Off 2010 Support for Habitat for Humanity

Aliquippa, PA –  ARDEX Americas, the leading developer and manufacturer of high-performance products for substrate preparation, tile & stone installation, concrete repair and restoration, and The W.W. Henry Company, a leading manufacturer of premium flooring adhesives kicked-off its 2010 volunteer commitment to the Beaver County Habitat for Humanity
by providing a team to help with some final restorations of a home in Monaca, PA.

On February 19, 2010, a group of employees from ARDEX Americas and the W.W. HENRY Company led by President & CEO Stephan Liozu went to work on a home being refurbished by Habitat for Humanity. The volunteer team spent the afternoon painting the entire house as one of the final touches before its owners, a local family moves into their new home.  The company provided a paid leave of absence for the volunteer team since the work took place on a Friday afternoon during regular business hours.

“Being involved in the local community where we are located is the right thing to do,” stated Stephan Liozu, President & CEO of ARDEX Americas.  “It is important that businesses support worthy non-profits and community efforts where they reside whenever possible. In addition to financial support, providing a philanthropic venue for our team members to interact outside of regular business activities is an excellent way to reinforce cross-functional teamwork while being able to provide much needed assistance to Habitat for Humanity.”

ARDEX Americas and the W.W. HENRY Company have committed to a significant sponsorship of the Beaver County Habitat for Humanity in 2010 by making a financial commitment of $10,000, donations of ARDEX Americas &  the W.W. HENRY Company building products and the coordination of volunteer teams to assist with home renovations throughout Beaver County.

Work with Habitat for Humanity began in 2008. This is the fifth home where ARDEX Americas & the W.W. HENRY Company employees have given of their time to help with renovations that have included painting, priming, removing debris, insulation installation, etc.
