Aliquippa, PA – ARDEX Americas, the leading developer and manufacturer of high-performance products for substrate preparation, tile & stone installation, concrete repair and restoration and premium flooring adhesives concluded its fifth year commitment with the Adopt-A-Highway program with a litter and debris retrieval event in November.
A group of employees from ARDEX Americas collected litter, debris and trash from Todd Road, the 1.5 mile stretch that intersects with Mill Street at Green Garden Plaza in Aliquippa and ends at the campus of the ARDEX Americas Corporate Headquarters, Manufacturing Facility and Technical Training Center.
“The Adopt-A-Highway program is more than just picking up litter along a roadway,” stated Stephan M. Liozu, President & CEO of ARDEX Americas. “This program provides an excellent opportunity for a cross-section of our employees to become involved in our community, work as team and become directly invested in community pride. Adopt-A-Highway benefits the residences and businesses along Todd Road and it also reinforces the commitment by ARDEX Americas to environmental sustainability in our local community and throughout our organization. We are focused on reducing our footprint through programs like this, as well as recycling and improvements in the products we manufacture.”
Concluding its fifth year, the November clean-up event yielded 36 bags of trash and a large pile of tires and debris which is collected by the community refuse company. Employee teams clear the roadway and surrounding area 3 – 4 times per year.
