ARDEX P 82™ is a high-strength, solvent-free primer that improves the adhesion of ARDEX products over smooth, non-absorbent substrates such as ceramic and other stone tiles, terrazzo, epoxy and metal decking. ARDEX P 82 is also used over wooden subfloors, including plywood and strip wood, as well as over cutback and other non-water-soluble adhesive residues.
Standard absorbent concrete substrates, and also other substrates in specialized applications, must be primed with ARDEX P 51™ Primer. Please refer to the ARDEX Technical Brochure for more information. Specific substrate preparation requirements are provided in the individual Technical Brochures for each ARDEX product. Please refer to ARDEX Technical Brochures for more information.

Consol Energy Center
When Hunt Construction landed the contract for The CONSOL Energy Center, they contracted with ARDEX
Choice Contractor™ E.F. Marburger to install carpeting throughout the new complex. 16,000 yards of
Shaw and Interface carpet tile would be installed in luxury suites, press boxes, locker rooms, clubs and
administration offices. An acrylic sealer used on the pre-cast concrete slabs caused bonding problems for
the carpet tile adhesive and the locker room areas. These same areas had moisture issues that had to be
addressed. Because numerous trades were working in the same areas and a water sprinkler malfunctioned,
some carpeting and cove base was damaged and required replacement. FEATURED PRODUCT: ARDEX FEATHER FINISH® Self- Drying, Cement- Based Finish Underlayment
