Cherry Point Mess Hall
After approximately four years of planning, the Cherry Point Mess Hall was scheduled to undergo a more than $10 million renovation to upgrade the facility and install state-of-the-art furnishings and equipment. The original mess hall was built in 1971. A concrete pad area had been poured too high, so there was not enough room to install a normal mud bed sloping to a drain. Clemente Ruiz Nazario U.S. Courthouse and Federico Degetau Federal Building
The Clemente Ruiz Nazario U.S. Courthouse and Federico Degetau Federal Building were built in 1975. Renovation plans include turning the buildings into high-performance, economically - friendly facilities. Moisture concerns became an issue when plans to install commercial luxury vinyl were revealed. Multiple layers of flooring had to be abated and mechanically removed. Basement concrete in a mechanical equipment room was unlevel and rough. This $85 million project is one of several in Puerto Rico being funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
Department of Transportation

Fort Belvoir Community Hospital

Georgia Housing Authority
Bathrooms in the occupied Georgia Housing Authority required remodeling. Hanscom Air Force Base Building 1618
Hanscom’s host unit is the 66th Air Base Group, which is part of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center. The men and women of the 66th Air Base Group provide outstanding services to more than 3,000 active duty, Reserve and National Guard military personnel and DoD civilians who work and live at Hanscom Air Force Base. Additionally, they support more than 125,000 retired military personnel, annuitants and spouses living in the six-state New England area and New York. LA Hall of Justice
The Los Angeles Hall of Justice was built in 1925. County residents and the buildings’ tenants desired a historical renovation to maintain the integrity of the landmark. After an earthquake in 1994, the building was closed because of safety and health risks. It was essential that renovation plans include seismic retrofitting to comply with earthquake standards and codes. The scope of work included structural demolition of some floors, retrofitting of structural and non-structural elements to meet current seismic performance requirements and several tenant improvements. Little Rock Air Force Base (AFB) Maintenance and Training Facility
Little Rock Air Force Base was on a 90-day time line for completion. It was essential that the newly installed
flooring could accept C130J engine training equipment immediately after floor was installed. Air Force training classes were to begin as soon as training equipment was in place. Air Force personnel were mandated to install training equipment as soon as floor was ready.

McAllen Irrigation Standpipes Public Art Mosaic Project
The McAllen Public Art Committee designed a series of five
mosaic drawings intended to represent local bird species which
were fabricated into a 1” X 1” glass tile mosaic format. The first
design was inspired by McAllen’s city bird the Green Jay. The
newest tower was inspired by the black-bellied Whistling Duck.
These complicated exterior tile installations required products
that could be installed vertically and withstand the changing
elements. The installation team was particularly challenged

Nakamura Federal Courthouse
The Nakamura Courthouse is a 12-story, 190,000 sq.ft. building that was erected in 1939. The building holds historic designation. The project specified the rehabilitation of the five (5) courtrooms, the law library, judge’s chambers, as well as other tenant improvements for the lower three floors. ARDEX SD-M, K 15, MC.
NASA Aircraft Hangar

Navy Medical Center ARFFI Building #43

Replacement Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, CA
The replacement Naval Hospital at Camp Pendleton was scheduled to open in six months. The facility provides advanced outpatient services with a patient and family centered inpatient design comprised of 60 inpatient beds, nine operating rooms with dedicated orthopedic, cystoscopy and cesarean operating rooms and six universal operating rooms. San Ysidro Border Crossing

U.S. Postal Service William F. Bolger Conference and Hotel Center
Products used to de-ice an elevated sidewalk damaged the wear surface, the structure’s columns and walls. Union County Board of Education
