The Clemente Ruiz Nazario U.S. Courthouse and Federico Degetau Federal Building were built in 1975. Renovation plans include turning the buildings into high-performance, economically - friendly facilities. Moisture concerns became an issue when plans to install commercial luxury vinyl were revealed. Multiple layers of flooring had to be abated and mechanically removed. Basement concrete in a mechanical equipment room was unlevel and rough. This $85 million project is one of several in Puerto Rico being funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
Consol Energy Center
When Hunt Construction landed the contract for The CONSOL Energy Center, they contracted with ARDEX
Choice Contractor™ E.F. Marburger to install carpeting throughout the new complex. 16,000 yards of
Shaw and Interface carpet tile would be installed in luxury suites, press boxes, locker rooms, clubs and
administration offices. An acrylic sealer used on the pre-cast concrete slabs caused bonding problems for
the carpet tile adhesive and the locker room areas. These same areas had moisture issues that had to be
addressed. Because numerous trades were working in the same areas and a water sprinkler malfunctioned,

The floor must be flat relative to the pallet racking adjacent to the lift truck aisles. As the mast on the lift truck raises, it must remain parallel to the pallet racking, or the mast may make contact with the racking.

Mercedes-Benz Showroom Floor

Replacement Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, CA

The Byron Winery
An old warehouse space would be converted into offices but the drop of the floor in the far end of the room was as deep as two-and-a-half-inches. The renovation, including floor covering, had to be completed in only four days.
