Aliquippa, PA — ARDEX Americas announces the launch of ARDEX D 16™, a Type 1 & 2 premixed tile adhesive engineered to deliver dependable performance and jobsite efficiency for interior tile installations.
Designed for setting quarry, ceramic, mosaic, and moisture-insensitive stone tile, ARDEX D 16™ also sets porcelain tile over absorbent substrates. The adhesive offers excellent sag resistance—hanging tiles up to 12” x 12” on walls—making it ideal for vertical applications, including tub surrounds and other intermittent wet areas.
ARDEX D 16™ is suitable for use over interior concrete, concrete block, drywall, plaster, brick, and existing tile. With an approximate 60-minute working time and immediate tile set, installers can grout walls in as little as 24 hours and floors after 48 hours. The product is easy to apply, low odor, low VOC, and freeze-thaw stable*, supporting performance in a range of storage conditions.
Available in 3.5-gallon pails and 1-gallon tubs, ARDEX D 16™ provides coverage of up to 175 sq. ft. per 3.5-gallon pail on smooth substrates. It meets or exceeds ANSI A 136.1 Type 1 & 2 standards and is eligible for the ARDEX Tile & Stone SystemOne™ Warranty when used as part of a complete system.
