Challenge

  • Large-format Laminam tile installation

Solution

ARDEX Sales Professional Clint Olson and ARDEX Field Technical Representative James Evans were contacted by Professional Flooring Supply to conduct a walk through and give product demonstrations using ARDEX X 77™ MICROTEC® Fiber Reinforced Mortar and ARDEX X 4™ Tile and Stone Mortar. After seeing the unmatched sage resistance ARDEX X 77 offered on the Laminam Tile, A-1 Flooring was convinced ARDEX Tile & Stone Installation Systems products were the best and only choice for installation success.

Project designers Kelli Henson and Jess Westhoff selected three colors of Laminam for the installation. All wall Laminam tiles were set using ARDEX X 77 and floor tiles were set with ARDEX X 4. The installation was eligible for a full ARDEX SystemOne warranty. This Laminam installation is the largest in the United States to date. ARDEX Sales Professional Jory Geigle met with A-1 Flooring installers to discuss two additional school renovation installations using ARDEX tiling products in the near future.
