Aliquippa, PA– ARDEX Americas, the leading developer and manufacturer of high-performance products for substrate preparation, tile & stone installation, concrete repair and restoration, and The W.W. Henry Company, a leading manufacturer of premium flooring adhesives kicked-off its 2010 Adopt-A-Highway Program on Tuesday March 30th.
A group of employees from ARDEX Americas and the W.W. HENRY Company led by President & CEO Stephan Liozu cleaned litter, debris and trash from Todd Road, the 1.5 mile stretch of road that intersects with Mill Street at Green Garden Plaza in Aliquippa that leads into the campus of the ARDEX Americas and the W.W. HENRY Company Corporate Headquarters, Manufacturing Facility and Technical Training Center.
“Adopt-A-Highway is a program that benefits the businesses and residences that we share Todd Road with, as well as the community as a whole by keeping our roadways clean,” stated Stephan Liozu, President & CEO of ARDEX Americas. “This also underscores our corporate wide environmental commitment. Being a good neighbor within our local community and region is a very important part of our mission. We encourage our employees to become involved in community activities and charities, and to act as stewards for the environment. First started in 2006, the ARDEX Americas and the W.W. HENRY Company Adopt-A-Highway commitment is entering its fourth year. The latest take off of Todd Road was 21 bags of trash, 25 tires and other miscellaneous debris. Employee teams clear the roadway and surrounding area 3 – 4 times per year.
