Technical Team

Meet our ARDEX Technical Team.

These folks work to provide you with the most up-to-date installation methods for all of our products. They answer your phone calls, organize our ARDEX Academy trainings, and teach our seminars. Combined, they have decades of industry experience, and are looking forward to hearing from you.

John Adams – Technical Writer

John joined ARDEX and the flooring industry in 2023. His areas of expertise include product documentation and jobsite recommendations. John graduated from Syracuse University where he exceled as an award-winning writer and earned his B.A. in Writing, Rhetoric, & Composition. He has been writing, editing, and proofreading across various industries since 2021.

Bryant Bushman Jr. – Technical Field Representative

Bryant joined ARDEX in 2012. Originally hired for the marketing department making decorative product samples, he then moved into the role of ARDEX Ardiflo Pump Coordinator to help promote and support of these pump systems. In his current role, as a Technical Field Representative for the US Southeast Market, Bryant supports the Sales Professionals in the field with job starts, job recommendations, and trainings. His areas of expertise are ARDEX Surfaces/Coatings, Substrate Preparation products, PANDOMO, ECRS, and Ardiflo Pump Systems. Additionally, Bryant has an NAFCT Certification in Subfloor and Substrate Prep and a CTEF Certification in the Understanding and Installing of Ceramic Tile. Bryant is available to train on all ARDEX and HENRY products.

Amanda Ciancarelli – Technical Writer

Amanda joined ARDEX and the flooring industry in 2019. Her areas of expertise include product documentation and jobsite recommendations. She has been trained and certified on all ARDEX and HENRY products. Amanda graduated from Point Park University with an English degree and a journalism minor, and she has a strong writing and editing background.

Pat Cunningham – Manager of Technical Services

Pat has been with ARDEX since 2005 and has been in the industry for more than 35 years. His areas of expertise are Core Products, APCS, PANDOMO, coatings, ECRS, Blue Line and HENRY adhesives. He has been certified in All ARDEX and HENRY Products.

Rodney Johnson – Technical Service Consultant

Rodney joined Ardex in 2022 as a pump technician to support the ARDIFLO™ Pumping program. Rodney also has 7 years of experience in resilient flooring serving as a flooring inspector and installation trainer for residential and commercial resilient products.

Daniel Grant – Technical Field Supervisor

Daniel’s experience in the flooring industry began in 1992. A strong desire to assist others to achieve excellence in flooring motivated him to continue his career with ARDEX in 2017 as a Technical Field Representative based in the Central US. His areas of expertise include tile and stone installation, concrete repair, moisture in concrete, proper substrate preparation, underlayments, toppings, and adhesives.

Daniel holds several industry certifications – FCICA’s Certified Installation Manager (CIM), CTEF’s Certified Tile Installer, ICRI’s Moisture Testing Technician, and NAFCT’s Substrate and Subfloor Prep Certification, and he is actively involved with FCICA, CTEF, NTCA, ICRI, INSTALL, and NAFCT. Daniel is driven to provide practical solutions to ensure long-term success with superior installation processes for continuous improvement within the industry.

Terry Hall – Technical Field Representative

Terry is third-generation tile setter and has been in the trade for over 20 years. He had a C54 and C15 contractor’s license in the state of California for 14 years before joining ARDEX Americas in 2014. He’s been certified as a moisture testing expert by ICRI and most recently has joined the NTCA as a state director for Northern California and Northern Nevada.

Brian McMahon – Facilities Management & Technical Service Pump

Brian has been a part of the ARDEX Americas group for over sixteen years. He joined the pump team at the inception of the ARDIFLO™ Pumping program. Prior to that he wore many hats; he was in charge of the exterior building maintenance, the interior comfort (HVAC) systems and all electrical systems for the entire ARDEX Campus.

Steven Newbrough – Environment Program Specialist

Steven has been with ARDEX since 2014 and previously worked as a concrete and masonry inspector. A graduate in Environmental Sciences, he specializes in material ingredient information, safety datasheets, green building documentation, and other specialty product testing. He is an IICRC Certified Substrate and Subfloor Inspector, is a LEED Accredited Professional in Building Design and Construction and serves on the TCNA’s Green Initiative and the ASTM Sustainability Committee E60 while supporting the ARDEX Technical Department in all product categories.

Dan Passatore – Technical Service Consultant

As a second-generation installer in the flooring industry, Dan began to learn floor covering installation at a very young age. He then broadened his experience with his work in general construction and facilities management, dating back to 2011. Dan joined ARDEX in 2023 as a Technical Service Consultant and brings with him extensive knowledge and experience in proper substrate preparation, patching and leveling of subfloors and substrates as well as floor covering installation.

Seth Pevarnik – Director of Technical Services

Seth has worked for ARDEX since 1991 and has been in the industry since 1986. His areas of expertise are Concrete, Moisture in Concrete and Proper Substrate Preparation. He has been certified in Subfloor and Substrate Inspection and well as Subfloor and Substrate Preparation. Seth is active in several industry associations and standards organizations to include FCICA, NAFCT, FCEF, ASTM, NFCA, STARNET, INSTALL and MMSA. Seth sits on the Board of Directors for FCICA and NAFCT. Seth also serves as the IICRC Chair for the ISSI Certification and is a voting member of the ANSI S220 Hard Surface Floor Covering Inspection Standard, the ANSI S230 Standard for Professional Inspection of Flooring Subfloors and Substrates and the ANSI S800 Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Inspection of Textile Floor Covering.

Francisco Sánchez – Technical Field Representative

Francisco, or Paco, has been working for ARDEX since 2018 as a Technical Field Representative for Mexico and conducting the ARDEX Academy seminars in Spanish in Mansfield, Texas.

He has 18 years of experience in the building field and his areas of expertise are flooring, adhesives, and chemicals.

Tivona Schneider – Technical Communications Manager

Tivona has been with ARDEX since 2010. Her areas of expertise are product documentation and jobsite recommendations, and she has been certified by the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration. Tivona and her team of three technical writers produce all technical documentation for the company, including technical data sheets, labels, project-specific recommendations and technical updates.

Thomas Utley – Technical Service Consultant

Thomas’ career in the flooring industry began in 1993. He has worked closely with ARDEX since 2002 developing installation standards using mortars and adhesives in conjunction with sound control underlayments. In collaboration with the TCNA and others in the industry, he helped pioneer installation practices using recycled underlayments with multiple flooring products. Thomas joined the ARDEX Team in 2018 as a Technical Service Consultant specializing in Acoustical Underlayments, Electrical Radiant Heat Systems, Adhesives, and Tile and Stone Installation Systems. Thomas has several industry certifications to include the IICRC’s Introduction to Subfloor and Substrate Inspection Certification as well as NAFCT’s Subfloor and Substrate Preparation Certification. With over 30 years of industry experience, Thomas brings a wealth of knowledge to the ARDEX Team.

William White – Tile & Stone Installation Systems Technical Manager

With over 30 years in the floor covering industry, William comes from a strong background as an installation contractor and business owner. Starting as an apprentice, his thirst for knowledge drove him to learn as many aspects of the construction industry as possible. Through hard work and perseverance, eventually owning his own company with dozens of employees.

William began his career with ARDEX in March 2012 as a Tiling Sales Professional. With the success he had growing his sales market, William was promoted to Tilling Key Account Champion in 2016 and then Tiling Team Lead in 2018. With William’s dynamic presentation and demonstration skills, William was appointed Tiling Field Marketing Specialist in 2019, where he not only continued to help grow our Tiling business, but also helped contribute to the 8000+ customers that get trained yearly at our Academy Training Centers, in the field as well as virtually.

William is passionate about the tile industry and education, he is committee member and a NCCER certified instructor for the Columbia Tile Trades Joint Apprentice Training Committee (JATC). William passed his Certified Tile Installation certification in 2015 and supports the National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA) as a State Ambassador since 2017. Additionally William has contributed on a ANSI sub-committee for updating ANSI 108.10 Section 5 standards.

In his personal life, William and his wife Shana, enjoy almost anything in the great outdoors as well as traveling abroad together. William also enjoys working on remodel projects on their house and restoring his 1971 GMC truck.

Bill Wright – Technical Field Representative

As the fourth generation of his family in the tile and stone business, Bill has used his nearly 40 years of experience in manufacturing, installation and materials as the education and technical liaison for several industry leading suppliers to include most recently Stonetile International. Bill was a long serving Director on the Board of the Terrazzo Tile and Marble Association of Canada (TTMAC) and is a past president. Bill continues his support of the TTMAC as he sits on several committees, including the Technical Specifications Committee and is a certified TTMAC inspector. Bill enjoys sharing his experience with interested industry professionals as a speaker and presenter.
