Aliquippa, PA – ARDEX Americas, the leading developer and manufacturer of high-performance products for substrate preparation, tile & stone installation, concrete repair and restoration and flooring installations began its 6th year of involvement with the Adopt-A-Highway program to keep a local roadway clean of litter.
A group of employees from ARDEX Americas collected litter, debris and trash from Todd Road, the 1.5 mile stretch that intersects with Mill Street at Green Garden Plaza in Aliquippa and ends at the campus of the ARDEX Americas Corporate Headquarters, Manufacturing Facility and Technical Training Center.
“ARDEX Americas remains committed to environmental sustainability and community involvement,” stated Stephan M. Liozu, President & CEO of ARDEX Americas. “This is an important program and just one of the environmental and community programs in which ARDEX Americas and its employees participate. Programs like Adopt-A-Highway allow us to give back to the community and allows ARDEX Americas employees from different areas of the company to come together and address a very worthwhile cause.”
Coming off the winter thaw, the first Adopt-A-Highway event yielded 30 bags of trash, 19 tires and other miscellaneous debris. ARDEX Americas employee teams clear the roadway and the surrounding area three times per year, but are diligent to keep the road clean in between the events as well.
