Information ARDEX BACA™
ARDEX BACA™ Bonding & Anti-Corrosion Agent is a microsilica-modified, two-component, brush or spray applied coating used as an anti-corrosion agent for reinforcing steel as well as a bonding agent for fresh concrete or mortar to existing concrete surfaces that have been prepared for repair.

Installation
Mixing Ratio: 1 gallon of Component “A” with 1 bag of powder
For smaller quantities, mix 1:1 by volume.
Yield: 175 – 200 sq. ft. (approx. 4.3 – 5 sq. m) per unit, applied at 20 wet mils
2.5 gal. (9.5 L) volume yield per unit
70 – 80 sq. ft. per gallon (approx. 1.7 – 2 sq. m per L), applied at 20 wet mils

Bond Strength (ASTM C882): 2 hours 1,800 psi (127 kg/sq. cm); 24 hours 2,100 psi (148 kg/sq. cm)
Tensile Strength (ASTM C190): 28 days 800 psi (56 kg/sq. cm)
Flexural Strength (ASTM C78): 28 days 2,000 psi (141 kg/sq. cm)
Rapid Chloride Permeability (AASHTO T277 and ASTM C1202): 28 days < 150 Coulombs
VOC: Liquid component – 28.3 g/L, calculated SCAQMD Methods
Powder component – 0 g/L
Pot Life / Working Time: 90 minutes
Open Time: Up to 24 hours
Packaging: 1 gallon (3.78 L) bottle of liquid component “A” 28 lb. (12.7 kg) bag of powder component “B”
Storage: Store in a cool, dry area. Do not leave bags exposed to sun. Protect liquid from freezing.
Shelf Life: 1 year, if unopened
